What was Portland like in the past? A new exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society (OHS) seeks to provide a deeper understanding of the present by looking back at the past. OHS Executive Director Kerry Tymchuk and Professional Photographer Peter Marbach joined us to share what went into to creating "Portland Past and Present."

Through a series of 15 side-by-side photographs, visitors will notice which architectural and geographic features have changed, and which have remained the same. Considering the various ways that people have altered the built environment, this exhibition poses the question: what does the future of Portland look like?

The exhibit is on display until July 7, 2024. Entry to OHS is free for all Multnomah County residents.
